The five members of Mahakaruna first met in Cologne in 2024. Led by the powerful voice of singer and mystic Céline, the band quickly made a name for itself in Cologne's kirtan and mantra community.
With Brazilian and Indian percussion, a jazzy double bass and some folky guitar tones the band presents a groovy and recognizable sound, adding a fine newvoice to the world of mantras and kirtan music.
Originating from classical kirtan, they combine mantras with modern melodies and spiritual English lyrics to create music that touches the heart.
